Bergamot essential oil comes from a small tree about 15ft high and has smooth oval leaves, bearing small round friut that ripen from green to yellow much like a miniature orange.
The oil has been used in italy for many years and was named after a Italian city called Bergamot in Lombardy where the oil was frist sold. Bergamot oil is obtained from the peel of the nearly ripe fruit and is cold expressed to produce a fresh fruity oil.
Bergomot oil is light greenish - yellow in colour with a fresh fresh fruity aroma makes it a light, fresh fragrance to use as a room spray.
Bergamot has excellent soothing, relaxing, uplifting and cleansing qualities.
Blends well with: Lavender, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniperberry, Chamomile.
Safety Information:
- Never take internally
- Never use undiluted on skin, mix with a suitable carrier oil, one drop to 2mls of carrier oil
- Not suitable for babies and infants
- Only use ‘Bergapten Free’ bergamot oil, signified by the initials FCF Other Bergamot oils contain properties that can cause damage to the skin in sunlight
- Do not use during pregnancy
- Keep out of the reach of children
