The German chamomile oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flower heads of the perennial herb. It shares many features with Roman Chamomile however the obvious difference is the colour. Both Chamomiles contain Azuline (a powerful anti-flammatory property), German chamomile contains a greater quantity making the appearance a deep blue colour. It has a sweet herbaceous aroma.
German Chamomile has an analgesic quality that comforts and soothes and is considered an good oil to use when treating the skin.
Blends well with: Bergamot, Lavender, Jasmine, Geranium, Rose, Neroli and Clary Sage.
Safety Information:
- Never take internally.
- Never use undiluted on the skin, mix with a suitable carrier oil, one drop to 2mls of carrier oil.
- Do not use in pregnancy.
- Keep out of the reach of children
