The sandalwood essential oil is obtained through steam distillation of the heart wood found at the very centre of the tree native to India and Australia.
It has a warm, subtle and lingering aroma with relaxing, soothing yet uplifting qualities. Sandalwoods beautiful aroma is best associated with the perfumery and toiletry industry and its soothing ability makes it an ideal oil to aid meditation.
Sandalwood from Mysore has always been considered the best.
Blends well with: Rose, Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender, Orange and Ylang Ylang.
Safety Information:
- Never take internally
- Never use undiluted on the skin, mix with a suitable carrier oil, one drop to 2mls of carrier oil
- Not suitable for babies and infants
- Do not use in pregnancy
